What's The New WAVE? TIDAL

Jay Z aka Hov aka Shawn Carter has attempted to solidify history today by announcing his own music streaming service called "TIDAL". This service is to be in control of the artist so they can get money straight to their pockets without a middle man (aka The Labels).

Madonna, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé are a few of the clients who decided to tweet and do Jay Z promoting for him since he doesn't have a social media account. You k,now Kanye had to make a rant about this serive!!! The hashtag for it was #TIDALforALL and they changed their profile pictures to display the streaming service's signature.

The artist seemed to be super excited about this new venture but not the consumers! And for every reason, they had the right. Tidal serivce currently offers members to sign up to for either $9.99 or $19.99 a month or 99 cent per download. It currently offers over 25 million tracks and over 50,000 music videos and more. The argument is why pay for a service when there are a host of free websites that offer the music for free? As for me, I wil be on #TeamFreeDownload! Sorry to say... What's your weigh in?
