Black Lives Matter in todays society and with all that's happening in the world, it's refreshing to see the youth putting their talents to use. Remember this name: Mo'ne Davis! She is a thirteen-year-old girl from Philly, PA who plays for Philadelphia’s Taney Dragons. She is the first Little Leaguer to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated. This is major for her because she is catching the attention of the whole world!

Davis is known for pitching the infamous 70 mph fastball in the Mid-Atlantic Final, which sent her team to the World Series. She also became the first girl to throw a shutout in World Series history!!! Mo'ne threw a two-hitter and striking out eight in a 4-0 win over Nashville.

Mo’Ne Davis has also teamed up with M4D3 (Make A Difference Everyday) to create her very own sneaker line and all proceeds will benefit children of poverty for young girls who are apart of "Because I am a Girl" foundation. If you can, please support her by purchasing these sneakers and help change a life! The price range is $50.00 -$75.00.

I'm proud to say that she is definitely a black girl who rocks!
