Have you ever asked yourself whatever happened to the Anthrax 2001 scare and the 2014 Ebola virus? The media focuses on all these events to give you full attention then it magially disaapears! What the hell is that about? Or how about the recent news of NAACP President who is a Caucasian lady that portrayed to be African American for many years, is now overshadowing the event that has taken place in McKinney, Tx. The inncident where a white lady told some black children to go back to Section 8 and Officer Casebolt waved his gun in the face of the youth. Not leaving out the fact that he physically assulted a young female and his only repercussion was a paid vacation??!!!

I'm intrigued by this story in Mc. Kinney but before I cover that, I would like to know how and why in all of the years of Rachel Dolezal's professioal career, NOW is the time where the media decides to bring this to light. What are they covering now?

To speak on the topic of NAACP President Rackel Dolezal, I've seen Memes about Black women like Beyonce, Ciara and others wearing blond wigs and having the Caucasian appearance to fit the industry so it is okay for a Caucasian woman to become apart of a African American Association and act as if she's of descent... This is another way I feel that the media is portraying our community as fools. The question rises, how did anyone now know? Why after 20+ years is this now a relevant topic? Why is a Caucasian lady President of the NAACP?!

There is also a new trend that evolved out of this controversy.; Memes being generated using hashtag #AskRachel which includes black events or comedy questions formed with multiple choice answers. Seems like the media is winning because everyone is falling for it! My question and concern is, what is the media truly hiding from us and what are we playing along with? Every time something like this occurs, there is a world changing event! All I have to say is keep your eyes open and let's not egg the system on any longer to believe that we agree with the tactics used to blind us from the truth.

Back to the importance of the recent event in McKinney, TX. Everyone has come together in the mixed race community to fight against racism, police brutality and equality for the victims of the pool party! How did this end of the school year celebration make headlines because of police assult? A pool party took place which included African American, Hispanics, Asian and Caucasian students on a residental street.

In a statement, the Police Department said officers arrived at the pool around 7:15 p.m. on Friday, responding to a call about a “disturbance involving multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there and refusing to leave.” The department, the statement added, received “several additional calls related to this incident advising that juveniles were now actively fighting.” This statement was not true according to multiple witnesses... It was stated that a white woman told a black girl to go back to Section 8, which started the altercation.

Brandon Brooks, who recorded the assult, told a TV station that Officer Casebolt had not confronted him, one of the few white teenagers at the party.

“I was one of the only white people in the area when that was happening. You can see in part of the video where he tells us to sit down, and he kind of like skips over me and tells all my African-American friends to go sit down.” Everything turns ugly after that!

Please let continue to raise awareness! Not all police offiers are bad, but we need help exposing the ones who are taking avantage of their authority.
