Moses Malone was a 3x MVP of the NBA and the first player to go pro right out of high school in 1974 signing with the Utah Stars. Moses was also a Pro Hall of Famer who averaged a double-double -- 20.6 points per game and 12.2 rebounds -- while playing for eight teams over 20 NBA seasons and led the league in rebounding six times -- including five straight seasons from 1980-85.

His 16,212 rebounds still rank fifth on the NBA's all-time list, while his 27,409 career points rank eighth. The 12-time All-Star also holds NBA records for offensive rebounds in a career (6,731), season (587) and game (21). Malone was one of the most dominant centers to ever touch the court, point, blank, period! Malone, was also named the NBA's 50 greatest players and was the MVP in the Finals in 1983, as he led the Philadelphia 76ers to the title.

According to authorities, there was no foul play recorded so we assume for now that he passed of natural causes. Malone was scheduled to play a celebrity golf tournament in VA but him not arriving was a sign that something was wrong because he always makes his appearances when scheduled.

We will definitely miss one of the 76'ers star players and greatest centers of all time! He definitely made you love the sport of basketball. R.I.P Moses Malone.

Take a look at some highlights
