So it's about the at time of the year where the annual underground music awards show love to the independent artist, producers, songwriters, DJ's, bloggers and more! The UMA's seem to be the biggest national award show for the underground. These artist receive recognition for all the hard work they've put in during the year. This year Underground Music Awards includes a few of the top NYC music artist on the rise!
Some past winners of Urban Threshold's Underground Music Awards include MIMS, Nicki Minaj, MGK, Cory Gunz, J Cole, Freeway, Lil Mama, Killah Priest, Donny Goines, Esso, Stimuli, Torae, Serius Jones, Remy Ma, Styles P, Papoose, Saigon, Lumidee, Emilio Rojas, Fred The Godson among others.
They also show love to lengends in the game. Those who were honorees include Hip-Hop legends like Ice T, Naughty By Nature, EPMD, Slick Rick, DMC from Run DMC, Grandmaster Flash, MC Shan, DJ Red Alert, DJ Kid Capri, Kool G Rap, M.O.P., Ralph McDaniels, Cormega, DJ Kay Slay, DJ Envy just to name a few.
