What a way to give back to the community! While some people donate a few bucks or community service, P.K Subban whose a Canadian hockey player from the Montreal Canadiens decided to donate 10 million dollars to the Montreal Children's Hospital.
The $10 million donation will be made during the next seven years, and part of it will be used to create a fund called "P.K.'s Helping Hands,". This fund will provide financial assistance to families of sick children so they can concentrate on caring for them instead of worrying about how they will provide for their family while their child is in the hospital.
Subban describes his reasosns for taking those huge steps towards helping the families in need:
The first was the experiences he had with people overcoming hardship.
Subban visited the Children's Hospital on Christmas morning to hand out presents to patients without anyone knowing about it.
Also, he visited Haiti following the 2010 earthquake that left the country in ruins plus more!
He seems to be a stand up man for the community and country! Now he is a hero in my eyes as well!
Many celebrities have the ability to make a difference in the world and they choose to expose non-sense and ball out with their money! This monetary contribution actually help saves lives and gives the children a sense of hope dealing with sickness and disease being treated.
